| | A group of young professionals from Sri Lanka called "Our Circle" organised by Deshika Herat Anushi Senaratne, Nayana Samaranayake and Anuradha Uduwage gifted the following items, and also provided short eats and a calypso Band for the entertainment of the inmates of Ranaviru Sevana.
They have also donated a sum of LKR 300,000 on 23rd May 2009 and hope to make a further donation of LKR 130,000 on 4/6/09 towards making of 43 limbs for the soldiers who sacrificed so much in the defense of our Motherland. We hope that this generosity will be an example so that other young people could also join in a similar response. This is their 2nd confirmed donation to Ranaviru Sevana--the house of hope. The foundation appreciates their noble act. Please remember that it was the unselfish sacrifice of these young soldiers that is responsible for your future well-being.

A second donation from the Sri Lankan Michigans of special talking watches for the blind in Ranaviru Sevana. There is unfortunately an increase in the number of blind soldiers, some with multiple disabilities in addition to their being blind. Remember that they have sacrificed so much of their youth to help keep your family and our Motherland together. The Army is doing its best to rehabilitate all wounded soldiers----should we not help in this noble cause and thereby bring merit upon ourselves? Think about it! (Click On Pictures)
