People who supported us for the Donations.
A representative of the General Ranjan Wijeratne Foundation makes a token presentation to the Commander Sri Lanka Air force, of a foldable stretcher from a batch of 20 nos. These were donated by a lady in memory of her late husband who was a senior Air Force Officer. These stretchers which were imported from Italy are currently being used in the Air Force medical institutions located in the operational areas. These units ensure additional safety to the lives of critically injured personnel, whilst being taken off the battle fields and transported for urgent medical attention. The items which are of the latest design provides a vast improvement in the manner in which Casvac Ops had to be performed earlier. Being foldable and compact they can be carried in helicopters all the time. We wish to thank Director Health Services SLAF for his consultative advise provided in this regard.
