About Rohan Wijeratne
Mr. Rohan Wijeratne

Rohan N. Wijeratne received his primary and secondary education at St. Thomas’s College, Mount Lavinia, and earned his BSc and MSc in Technology of Management from The American University, Washington DC, USA. At The American University, he was on the Dean’s List and was awarded the Carlton Savage Award for Outstanding Contribution to the University. During his graduate studies he was awarded the Hall of Nations Scholarship and the departmental Special Opportunity Scholarship. His undergraduate university career was distinguished by being the first foreign student to be elected to the student government, initially as Secretary and then as Vice President. He was also the President of the Foreign Student Association.

After his initial degree he joined the World Bank at its Washington DC Headquarters first in the Organization Planning Department, from where he moved into the Middle East Department. He has ten years of experience in development projects, particularly relating to IT in countries such as Egypt, Jordan and Yemen.

In 1994 he returned to Sri Lanka as the IT Advisor to the Honourable Prime Minister and Minister of Industries, Science & Technology and subsequently to the Ministry of Science and Technology. At the same time he was Chairman of the Council for Information Technology (CINTEC) where he played a lead role in bringing Internet to Sri Lanka. He has published various papers on IT and has been a panel member at various conferences in Sri Lanka. In 1996 he moved into the private sector where he was a founder shareholder/director and Chief Operating Officer of Millennium IT.

Since 2003 he has functioned as a Director of the Board and CEO of Imperial Institute of Higher Education. Imperial is the only institute in Sri Lanka offering the BSc (Hons) Business Management and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees validated and awarded by the Federal University of Wales, UK.

He has been on the Boards of the Arthur Clarke Centre for Modern Technology, the Institute of Computer Technology of the University of Colombo, Infotel Lanka, and Sri Lanka Telecom.

He is the son of the late General Ranjan Wijeratne

About G.T. Wijeyesekera
G.T.(Jith) Wijeyesekera

G.T.(Jith) Wijeyesekera had his primary and secondary education at St. Thomas ‘ College Mt, Lavinia. He is an ex-serviceman. Whilst in the United Kingdom he obtained the Higher National Diploma in Business Studies and subsequently achieved full membership in the British Institute of Management (now known as the institute of Management under Royal Charter) He is also a full member of the Institute of Commercial Management (UK). In 1968 he joined the National Westminster Bank and progressed to the position of one of the Personal Assistants to the Bank’s Chief Executive.

On his return to Sri Lanka he held Board appointments in the Garment Industry, Senior Management positions in advertising and General Management / CEO positions in a number of security organizations.

He is now in retirement but is engaged in management and Security Consultancy.

ARJUN DELGODA

A past student of S.Thomas' college,Mount Lavina. Served with the Royal Ceylon Air force for a brief period where he trained in Aircraft engineering.He moved to civilain air craft engineering with the national carrier and then to Kuwait airways.He now is the G.M. of a packaging company in a well known group of companies in the confectionery business. He serves in the exectutive committee of the United Nations Association of Sri lanka & is also a proprietory planter in the Ratnapura district.

SWARNA DELGODA

Is a past student of Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa. Having worked in well known food Manufacturing organization as a Factory manager, She is retired and now in retail sales as a proprietor of her own business. She is also in the executive committee as the vice president of a Japanese-SriLanka religious organization.
