Welfare Activity
About Our Welfare Activity :
This is so true of Ranjan Wiijeratne, being the second most powerful politician and prime military leader during the period of our nation’s turbulent contemporary history and having earlier commanded the 2nd battalion Rifle Corps as a Lieutenant-Colonel, who was assassinated by a massive bomb blast sending shock waves through the nation.
Ranjan Wijeratne, belonged to a rare breed. He loved his country with every nerve and fibre in his being, was of impeccable character endowed with a sense of honesty that was remarkable. To crown it all was his courage, being a man of steel guts, always prepared to sacrifice his life for his country he loved so much.
With the death of this brave and courageous son of Sri Lanka, the country lost an outstanding leader amongst leaders. He was posthumously promoted as a General on behalf of a grateful nation for preserving the unity sovereignty and territorial integrity of his Motherland.
Help us to continue the vision of this distinguished personality who always had the interest of the country and it’s people foremost in his mind.
We are a non-political, completely independent organization focusing exclusively on maintaining the morale of the forces and operate with a special licence. However plans are finalized to seek incorporation via Parliament in the immediate future.

Support a Worthy Cause
Join hands with us in this noble endeavour. We request individuals, ‘Blue Chip’ and other Corporate bodies, various organisations and even NGOs without controversial agendas to help those who gave their todays for our tomorrows. In particular we appeal to established Corporate Organisations to consider Armed Forces Rehabilitation and Welfare as a regular commitment of their Corporate Social Responsibilities programs. A strong morale-oriented Military is the only panacea for terrorism, separatism, and breakdown of law and order, loss of free trade, personal choices and democracy. The events of 1971 and 1988 and even those of the recent past should convince those who are yet too blind to see! The Military is not the last refuge for scoundrels. The usual inept politician’s disastrous folly which remains sadly unchallenged by the so-called ‘silent majority’, can only be counteracted and normalised by a patriotic Military. Whenever the occasion demanded, they laid down their lives to defend you, democracy and our Motherland. Please don’t forget as to what you owe them!
